Environmental Sustainability Research

The School of Global Environmental Sustainability will support new Interdisciplinary Research Working Groups dedicated toward meeting the broad array of research challenges associated with environmental and sociological issues of sustainability; broadly defined as humans coexisting with the natural world on a planet with finite resources. The School’s goal is to facilitate new collaborations that transcend traditional faculty disciplinary boundaries and to encourage intellectual advancement in real-world innovations and problem solving for the future.

Environmental Sustainability Research Working groups will

  • Address pressing global environmental challenges
  • Provide solutions and outcomes for real-world problems
  • Be composed of cutting-edge teams of faculty and researchers
  • Position CSU to be a world-class leader in sustainability science
  • Provide opportunities for student engagement
  • Develop strategies to sustain initiatives and research beyond the initial SoGES investment.
